Microsoft has announced that this years X06, the Xbox brand experience for the games and entertainment industry, will be taking place in Barcelona, Spain on September 27 and 28. Expect a good share of news and updates on your favorite upcoming titles, the LIVE service as well as some new and exciting announcements. Microsoft will also welcome South Africa, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland for the first time with the news of the 360 launch in those countries before the end of 2006.

With the recent rumors of developments that may allow for an early price drop, X06 could be the perfect place to make that announcement stealing a little attention away from Sony’s pending PlayStation 3 launch.
