In a recent GameSpot interview RedOctane’s Dusty Welch was posed a question about the original ‘Guitar Hero’ tracks being available to 360 owners who missed out on the first installment in the franchise. Though he couldn’t confirm specific tracks that will be available for download he did say:

“While the songs that will be available for download through the Xbox Live Marketplace have yet to be confirmed, we can assure our fans that they can likely expect to see these songs.”

Sounds like good news for 360 owners who haven’t or didn’t own a PS2 during the original title’s peak.

Don’t forget that ‘Guitar Hero II’ will be available on store shelves March 1st for $89.99 (including Guitar controller).
