This post over at Joystiq just caught my attention (not sure how I missed it when I checked the site earlier) which features a picture of the Collector’s Edition of ‘Halo 3‘ that shows two “Game Discs” and then the expected additional “Bonus Features” disc. If the standard edition doesn’t need two game discs (which it doesn’t appear to) what could be the reasoning behind the CE having it that way.
Also, what could they have done? Put single player-campign on on edisc and put the multiplayer on the other? That seems like it could cause some unneeded frustration and a waste of time if you have to switch the discs if you decide to join in a multiplayer game from the campaign or vice-versa. Any thoughts?
