Most successful sites or businesses have some sort of Roadmap that they use to keep track of the goals that they want to perform during some amount of time. I use the same goals in my daily work when it comes to trying to find information to reveal on x360a.org.
My number one goal without a doubt is achievements, its what makes our site successful, on top of an awesome dedicated community that helps others when gaining achievements.
As I look back at my past road map, and my current map, its pretty impressive how far I / we have come in less then a year.
Old Road Map
-
(Complete) - Have at least 1 exclusive achievement set (
-
(Complete) - Give away at least 1 game to a member of the site (Activision was the first)
-
(Complete) - Organize 1 community event dealing with any 360 title (Street Trace NYC)
-
(Complete) - Reach out to the community, and become partners / friends with another 360 site
-
(Complete) - Listen to the people! Listen to advice to improve the site
-
(Complete) - Improve the crap website design
As you can see, I had pretty simple goals at the time I started. I didn’t want anything dramatic since I had 0 contacts to start with, and wanted this to become a success. Now with 12+ Exclusive Achievement lists, review games coming in (hint, hint) and with the site now officially the largest registered achievement site, I can now make even harder goals for the future.
Sorry, I am not revealing this list publicly for my current roadmap, but 1 goal (I already completed actually GSB Event Miami) is still pending, and will be to attend a community event. I already booked 1 flight for an event, however, it may just be the beginning…
Also, this is not the road map for X360A.org, simply something I use in my daily search for information.
