The not so secret news is now official with the press release sent out by Microsoft; all Xbox 360 SKUs will have a price cut effective August 8.
- Xbox 360 Core - $279.99 (Originally $299.99)
- Xbox 360 - $349.99 (Originally $399.99)
- Xbox 360 Elite - $449.99 (Originally $479.99)
As well as that news they have also announced that the Special Edition Halo 3 Xbox will be available for $399.99 when it laucnhes in September. The question now is why wasn’t the price drop the same across all SKUs.
