Its not often that I am caught playing a child game, and even more rare for me to actually continue playing it, despite it being incredibly easy and simple. Yet, Spiderman FOF somehow ends up being incredibly easy [it is geared towards children] and somewhat addictive.

Graphics: The game seriously looks like it could have been played on the original Xbox. The graphics and gameplay remind me of an original Crash Bandicoot game. The camera angle is fixed, always changing, but unable to change. The shadow effects, and backgrounds seem to make up for the lack of graphics. Then again, the graphics aren’t bad… they just don’t seem to bring anything new to the table.

Sounds: Music changes as the enemies appear, and the voice actors aren’t that great. Plus if I hear the same lines one more time, I’m probably going to turn the sound off altogether, and play with my own soundtrack.

Achievements: Very easy, and requires only time time to get them all. I can’t say I am angry by the achievement set, since for a child playing the game, it wouldn’t be fair to challenge them moreso then having a few things hidden, but not too hidden. I am expecting to have 1000 points within a few more days of me playing the game.

Gameplay: The game is simple, and its not really a bad thing. The character upgrades shows that this game did require some effort to put together, and the game itself is fun for a rental for an adult. Once you play the first level, you have a pretty good glimpse at what the entire game is going to be like, with the exception of the bosses. Kill the enemy, jump on the pad on the floor, activate the bridge, and keep moving. 3/6 levels in, and I haven’t seen any change. By the way, did I mention that you can’t uhh… die. Yup, I haven’t been able to kill myself, despite even trying to!

The enemies also seem to be the same on each level. You have a floating enemy, the regular enemy, the big enemy, and 1 giant enemy at the end of certain levels. Then, you have the villains at the end of the entire level, which is not difficult.

The Final Word: All and all, the game is not hard, and in my mind is an enjoyable game for the child, and a quick and easy game for the achievement fan. I can’t imagine this being a game played for ages, but reminds me a lot like Shrek the Third for the Xbox 360 minus the voice acting. Plus, there is a ton of Spiderman villains and friends that are playable characters, a huge plus for the Spiderman fan.

If you have any questions about the game, feel free to comment below, and I will respond to ya. Promise!
