Singapore has declared that it is now illegal to have sex with an alien [in a video game]. The news comes as a shock since the video game, you know, the fictional animated stuff on TV that people play, Mass Effect has such a scene in the game where one of the female characters has a sex scene with a female alien. Due to these circumstances, Mass Effect will be banned in Singapore. Oh, and the reason given was… “lesbian intimacy,”
This is not the first title that has been given the ban hammer in Singapore. The last 2 games included God of War II for nudity, and The Darkness for excessive violence and religiously offensive expletives. So, sorry Singapore, but it looks like you could be missing out on one of the games of the year.
Either way, the rest of the world can enjoy Mass Effect when it launches globally November 20. Stay tuned for more Mass Effect information leading up to its launch…
