Brainstorming, Ideas, Future

By | November 20, 2007 | Xbox 360 |

It really isn’t any secret that we are trying to expand, and trying to make this site better – to show its true potential, and by doing that, we plan to reach out to our readers and see what they want us to cater to.

Some goals that I have been working on include:

Short Game Reviews: My goal with a game review is to accurately describe a game before you play it. I have no intention of giving the game a rating by stars or a number, since the review itself is what we are going to strive to convey, but the goal would be to give you a glimpse at what is good, what is bad, and the things that positively or negatively stand out.

Interviews: Anyone can do an interview, but our goal is to deliver a consistent product to everyone, and by consistent, I mean a format that people enjoy reading and seeing. We are still trying to see what format would be best… 10 Questions, a Podcast, things of that nature.

Giveaways: As you can see, we love doing giveaways, and love giving back to the community. Our goal is to continue this tradition for as long as possible, teaming up with community web sites, or partnering with companies to make sure that the community is rewarded for being involved.

Consistency: The main thing I want to deliver is a site that is always consistent, always posting the news that people want to see, and hiding the irrelevant points. Halo 3 videos are great, but at some point, people don’t need to see 100 different ways to stick somebody, especially when an onslaught of new games like Assassin’s Creed, Mass Effect, and Rock Band for starters. Therefore, we are actively looking for writers, and for people who want to be involved in our community. We plan to address that in a future post.

As for the site itself, I thank you all for visiting, and if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message me at DaKing240 [at] Hotmail [dot] com on MSN messenger or DaKingSync over AIM.

Looking foreward to it. If you ever need more writers, hit me up.

I would be stoked to help out on reviews. If you ever need anything else just let me know. Always willing to assist.

I really dont care too much for interviews. I think if you could concentrate on one aspect such as game reviews or achievements or arcade games along with the giveaways then your site will fair best. Really not many sites do reviews on a consistent basis. If you could do them b4 games release then I know what games to buy and which to not buy.

Make it easy, just say thumbs up or down.

i think reviews would be a nice addition, maybe you could have a section of the website archived with the game reviews to make it easier

I would say you have to find an angle that no one else has. Everyone does reviews… so I don’t seem much traction there unless you innovate the review format. Anything where you are creating original content that other people don’t have the means to create is going to be where success lies. All these sites get the same free games and press releases so it isn’t going to come from executing on the same assets as everyone else.

It might take some time to inventory the other leading sites and find where the gaps are, but there are a few that I personally see that we might execute on at 360voice in the future, and I bet you will find them too.

Your site already stands out because of the exclusive achievement hunting you do… so again, expand on what content you can create that others don’t want to or can’t.
