FASA Founder Back In Business

shadowrun

On IGN they have uncovered, (on the company’s official website) Smith and Tinker, Weisman’s (founder of FASA) new company, has licensed from Microsoft the rights for Weisman’s creations such as MechWarrior, Crimson Skies, and Shadowrun. Here’s hoping they are already at work on a new game from one of these three great game properties.

Smith & Tinker is pleased to announce that it has licensed from Microsoft the electronic entertainment rights for Mr. Weisman’s previous creations of MechWarrior, Shadowrun, Crimson Skies and the other properties of the FASA catalog. We’re not quite ready to announce our plans for each property, but please be assured that our goal is to surprise and delight old fans, while welcoming new fans to these fantastic worlds.

I am hoping for a proper MechWarrior game, but I really would like all of them. Yes, I did like the Shadowrun game they had on the 360, but they should probably do a RPG one first. Which one do you think they should be working on first? Or does this not matter to you guys at all?

Cool. I’d play the next installment of any of those games.

Would anyone recommend trying out Shadowrun for 360? I never played it and was looking for a used shooter to play over the winter break from school.

I personally loved shadowrun and thought it was one of the the best multiplayer games for the 360, but many put it down for the lack of single player.

I had a blast with it as well, don’t know how many people are left online though. Let me know if you pick it up, I’ll come back to it and play a few rounds.

Agreed, it wasn’t a bad game, and I would be up for playing it again sometime… still need some of those missing achievements. We could even make a 360Sync day where the staff plays it for a day or weekend… let us know
