Joystiq has reported that Rockband gamers will have the option to download 3 songs in Feb. that will be exclusive to the 360 version of the game. While some are calling it a “nice treat, even though the songs are obscure” true harmonix fans will appreciate the delivery greatly as two of the songs are from Freezepop and Bang Camaro, respectively, two groups that are long time staples of any Harmonix game, both are good friends of the studio and always crank out excellent songs.

Here is the kicker though, these songs will NOT be on live. They will be on the CD packaged with the February issue of Official Xbox Magazine!! You can download the songs off of the disc to your hard drive, and keep the there for play whenever you please. First of all this is just plain awesome, but more importantly, this means that rockband was left with some serious potential for adding new songs though alternative venues other than Live!
