New COD4 Maps This Spring

cod4Fresh intel from Activision headquarters reports that new global conflicts are planned in the form of downloadable multiplayer maps for the award-winning Call of Duty® 4: Modern Warfare™. In development for both Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the upcoming downloadable content will thrust gamers into a hot zone of added combat across a variety of intense multiplayer locales. “We’ve demonstrated our commitment to delivering the best multiplayer experience in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and that continues with our plans for new downloadable content,” explains Infinity Ward’s Community Manager, Robert Bowling. “We’re excited about the new maps, and the added gameplay variety, and we can’t wait to wrap things up and get online with everyone.”

The new downloadable content is scheduled for release this spring, and will be available on Xbox LIVE® and PlayStation Network.

I’ll see if I can dig up some screen shots or something for the new maps…

    They are gonna have to be committed if they want to take on Halo. As long as Bungie is pumpin’ out maps for it, people will continue to play it.

    I have a tough time playing such a great game online b/c I am such a low level and have such weaker weapons than everyone else.

    I’ve not put in much time into the mp for this because I’ve been concentrating on co-op titles as of late and I was also without my 360 for almost a month

    I don’t expect them to release these for free, but I think if they did (maybe release only 3 or 4 new maps) they would be a big hit in the fans eyes and I think a lot of people would switch from playing Halo and convert.

    BTW: I spend equal time on Halo 3 and COD4 but I would say that COD4 is the better overall game.

    I bought a 360 to play Halo 3. I loved it….until I got COD4. Halo just seems a little silly now after playing COD4. Can’t wait for the new maps.

    that’s great i’m tired of certain levels and look forword to many hours spent masterings the new environments…. can’t wait an to activision and infinity ward easliy the best game on any system in 2007 hands down. man if 4 is this good what’s cod 5 gonna look like?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    I bought a 360 to play Halo 3. I loved it….until I got COD4. Halo just seems a little silly now after playing COD4. Can't wait for the new maps.
