Canadians! Go get your badges!

While browsing Xbox.ca this morning, I spotted a slight addition to the homepage. They added a section below the normal Inside Xbox (really confusing name by the way as there’s another feature called Inside Xbox as well), they added a sections for 3 tabbed items: Xbox Poll, Jade and Community. The Xbox Poll is a simple question: What do you want to play at the next Jade’s Gamers’ Night In? Currently Halo 3 is stomping on the competition winning over Rock Band and Burnout Paradise; as of now the scores stand at 59%, 28% and 13%, respectively. The Jade tab is a simple link to Jade’s community section of Xbox.ca, while the real news for this post comes from the Community Tab.

What I found there, I instantly recognized: Badges of Honour. (Yes, we spell “honour” with a “u.”) Badges of Honour are yearly limited-edition buttons that Xbox Canada sells at Blockbuster to help support the Children’s Miracle Network. A minimum donation of $2 per button will get you one of the über-cool buttons that you can pin just about anywhere, including, of course, the backpack that you carry your Xbox 360 in! Don’t feel guilty about getting as many as you want, all proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network; so feel free to go wild! The current buttons available are an old-school arcade joystick, a 360 controller with a crown, the Gears of War logo, Ninja Gaiden II and Rock Band! All 5 are pictured above if you need a sample.
