First Multiplayer Details Emerge For GTAIV

On GTA Fansite GTA4.net they have posted some of the first multiplayer details for upcoming blockbuster title GTAIV. They were pulled from a new issue of PSM Spain and there are scans on their forums. It seems that there are going to be 15, count ‘em, 15 different modes, all playable with your own customizable character. Follow the link for the full scoop, some new screenshots and the scans.

    What happened to Tuesday contests? This site needs more contests!

    This site has gotten worse since last year. Nobody ever posts who wins a contest and then the only thing that is posted is stupid achievements. Who cares about achievements of games not even out yet?

    We want the Tuesday contests to return asap! We want prizes, we want forums!

    @Dre The Tuesday Comment Contests should be back next week. We’ve had a problem with getting some of the stuff shipped to Devin and some other problems…So we’ve missed 2 contests. Not much need to complain…

    As for no one posting who won the contest…have you looked at the second entry when you click on Comment Contest on the right? As far as I can tell, its a posting of the contest winners…

    Achievements? Check out the pingbacks on the Condemned 2 and Lost Planet: Colonies achievements. No one cares? Think again.

    Forums? There’s a link to the Forums right beside Contact by the 360Sync logo, as well as one RIGHT beside the Comment Contest picture to the right. If you still can’t find the 2 links that are on every 360Sync page, the forums are right here: http://www.360sync.com/forums

    i read about this earlier today, i cannot wait for this game. i need it right now, but im willing to spend the $60 retail for it. the online alone will be worth it. the possibilities really will be endless online its gonna be so much fun

    Huh, the only thing I got out of the first comment was “gimmie gimmie gimmie!” And apparently all he does is look for contests on the site considering he didn’t even notice the forums…
    Keep up the good work the site guys… Doing well in my book..
    Now to the actual topic at hand, I am buying GTAIV asap, it looks like it is going to be fantastic….

    It will be interesting to compare this and Crackdown, which was a HUGE suprise for any gamer that I have talked with. Am I correct in remembering it was made by a former GTA creator?

    The whole alt-reality thing with the powerups and ability to roam the city vertically as well as horizontally has put alot of preasure on the other GTA knockoffs, as well as GTA itself. Will you be able to go inside/up skyscrapers in GTA to compensate for this?

    GTA is so great with their story-telling and taking themselves serious-but-not-too-serious in their gameplay, and were alone in the openness and replay value of their games for so long (III / Vice City / San Andreas), but they are no longer the lone kid on the block.

    I am excited to see what they churn out with this multiplayer option… may be the next great step. Will first person shooters and GTA style game-play merge well?

    I was in a pissy mood and wanted to see if I wona T-shirt ~ I hope this wont disqualify me ~ sorry if I was mean ~ also I cant edit this or else I would delete the post ~ Thank you for edit functiosn in forums!

    ~Achievements I’m just not interested in them but if other like them then go 4 it, get ‘em all folks.

    @Dre It’s alright, we have all had days like that, I try and stay away from the internet then, lol. With the t-shirt contest I picked the winners a few days ago and just plain blanked out posting the winners, whoops! But yea, don’t worry, we are working on some cool stuff, and working out the kinks on the stuff we have going already….

    Checking pingbacks on posts is as easy as going to them and reading the comments. If it’s not from some user and it looks like a title with a ton of links, then its probably a pingback. I think pingbacks only come from sites running a wordpress backend.

    Yea, we’ev got some pretty cool stuff coming! keep your eyes peeled! :D :P
