Metallica Getting More Rock Band Content?

Metallica One of our readers sent us something very interesting, so we have reason to believe that new Metallica Rock Band DLC could be coming this week. This is strictly a rumor for now, and have no evidence its coming… yet this is what we know for sure…

1. Rock Band DLC is usually announced on Thursdays, however this week, hmxsean revealed that information would be made public on Monday, March 31.

2. On March 28, [the same day the Rock Band DLC was to be announced], this appeared on Metallica’s website – "Don’t tell anyone, but another tour announcement is coming Monday. Stay tuned!"

3. Finally, this was posted [with the help of 1up], which explains that Metallica has the right to put music from a new album in the game.

So, Metallica has a big announcement, we already have proof that they have a special Rock Band agreement, and a special tour announcement will be made Monday. Our guess, Metallica is getting some more DLC on Rock Band this week!

    MEH! Enter Sandman and One are the only songs by Metallica I like, overall the band is highly overrated. I was hoping for something much better, been waiting on “Simple Man” for a few months now so I wish they would put that out. Or maybe get some AC/DC(I can only dream)

    @DanteSparda504 I am afraid of them putting out a new single, I like their older stuff, including the stuff on rock band now, but their new stuff? Not so much a fun, and AC/DC? I would probably tackle the next person I saw in excitement…

    Yeah Metallica is highly overated. I think Master of Puppets and Fade To Black would be great to play on Rock Band. Some stuff from Kill Em’ All would be nice too but please dont release anything new or anything from the steaming pile of shite that is St. Anger.

    I prpobably will never buy Rock Band DLC b/c I can play guitar and turn down teh volume on my TV and just play my Dolby 5.1 CD player with any song I already own.

    I’m a big fan of Rock Band. But why on earth does a stand-alone drum game not have any Tool songs? Tool needs to be on Rock Band, Danny Carey is the drums – check this guy out:

    When I saw them at Staples – Adam Jones is like a statue but Maynard and Danny Carey kick ass. Danny plays drums like no other.

    Yeah their new stuff is crap. Same goes for my favorite band(Guns N’ Roses) their new stuff is shit mainly due to the fact that Axl Rose is the only original member left with the band. and AC/DC = awesome.

    Alright, the Rock Band DLC has been confirmed to be “Still Alive” for FREE! No Metallica this week, Still Alive is all we are getting btu atleast its free.

    hahaha – Stay Alive that song is well old………..wish Message in a bottle is free instead. THE POLICE are cool. Tool is great also, Metallica is meh.
