MyLittlePony It turns out that the rumored Monopoly and Scrabble aren’t the only Hasbro games that EA is planning to bring to the Xbox Live Arcade.  [Quick update, still no official confirmation on Monopoly or Scrabble... yet] After having a word with Angela from EA, we got an early glimpse at a press release that should be announced later today, the first new Hasbro game that EA is bringing to the Xbox Live Arcade is . EA had the following to say,

“EA and Hasbro want to give families new ways to enjoy games; we want give them a new way to come together, connect, spend time and have fun around the TV or online,” said Chip Lange, Vice President and General Manager of EA’s Hasbro Studio. “Bringing the spirit of these games to life as video games has allowed us to create really unique and creative experiences for families and friends of all ages to enjoy together at home or online.”

The game is expected to be launched in the 4th quarter of 2008. Sadly, no screen shots were available at the time of this posting, and when asked for more information, we were told the following…

  • In this fun-filled race, fly your pony’s hot-air balloon through a rainbow-filled sky toward the finish line
  • Lead your pony friend to be the first to reach Celebration Castle, and win!
  • There’s no reading required, so even the youngest pony fans can play!
  • For 2 to 4 players

Anyone going to actually play this game, I mean, how hard could the achievements be?
