DC Comics and Sierra Entertainment announced a partnership today to publish a comic series on their upcoming game Prototype. The series is set to debut this August via DC’s WildStorm imprint.  Further details surrounding the new comic book series will be announced later this year.

Prototype the game is planned for a release this fall, so it looks like the comic could be something of a prequel to the game, but that is just a wild guess. In the game details it does talk about the players digging down into a conspiracy 40 years in the making, so this could make sense. Either way, fans excited about everything Prototype now have another thing to get excited about.
