After the huge success of Bioshock on the 360, 2K games along with Universal Pictures is currently working on the movie version of this new age FPS.  Universal Pictures has hired the director of Pirates of the Caribbean, Gore Verbinski, who will direct and produce the movie.  Also, the writer of titles such as Sweeney Todd and Gladiator, John Logan, is one of the names being tossed around for screenplay.

Sadly, no date has been announced for the opening of the movie but Bioshock 2, the game is due out next year.  With the sales of the first Bioshock game at well over two million units sold since August 2007, the anticipation for both the second game and the movie is through the roof!
