We got word of something special from id Software. id announced that they have started working on DOOM 4. It’s the next step in the DOOM franchise, and they’re going all out. They want the best and brightest working on this one, which is why they’re hiring for DOOM 4. We’re all eagerly awaiting this title, but we have no information as to when it might show up on shelves. If I had to guess, I would say Fall 2009, but I’d hope they would take more time to properly develop it.
