A while back, we became aware of a new Frogger 2 in the works for the XBLA. Yet, we didn’t ever see any new information pertaining to the game, and even wondered if we would ever see it. However, we just finally found the achievements for Frogger 2, thanks to one of our readers – Havocks. But… what game are we talking about, which Frogger 2 would we see?

For those unaware of Frogger history, let’s fill you in…

Choice 1: Frogger II: Threeedeep! was a sequel to Frogger, and was made by Parker Bros and Hasbro in 1984, where the goal was to maneuver each frog to a berth at the top of the screen. Once all of the berths are filled the player progresses to the next level. Unlike its predecessor, the game features three consecutive screens for each level rather than one screen per level, with berths at the top of each of the three screens that need to be filled.

Choice 2: Back in 2000, Hasbro Interactive, Blitz Games and Konami put out another Frogger 2 game, which was released on the Dreamcast and was also a sequel to the original Frogger. The game was part of the Frogger series, and the sequel to Frogger (1997), featuring similar 4-way movement gameplay in a 3D world. Unlike its predecessor, Frogger 2 featured a choice of different characters to play with in the game, and several multiplayer modes.

We are assuming that Frogger 2, from choice 2, will be making its appearance to the XBLA in the near future accoridng to the achievement information, which is embedded below for you all to see!
