If you have played Madden before at all, I’m sure you’ve been in a game, 30 seconds left, driving down the field for the score, and you throw an interception, or you fumble for the first time all game. You think to yourself, I wish I could do that play again. Now you can with EA SPORTS REWIND, a new feature which will allow gamers to literally put a play in reverse and replay a down. It can be used to replay a down that you missed a pass or threw a pick, or one that your opponent just had a huge 75 yard run. Just click the REWIND button when a play ends, and watch your players reverse track back to the line of scrimmage.
Before the game begins, both players may select how many rewinds to be used during each game, (from 0, 1, 3, 5, or unlimited), and they are not available in online games (thankfully). There may be a broken friendship or two with this game, and hopefully no one will try to use the unlimited amount, as it would ruin the game.
Madden NFL 09 hits August 12th for the Xbox 360, including the 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition.
