When they say it's all going to work perfectly for any existing games you have downloaded (achievements, leader boards etc) then I don't see why they are keeping all the infrastructure in place but removing the ability to purchase the titles.

They just need to sort/organize it better, if they are de-listing by metacritic, how about they don't de-list and instead actually display the metacritic score on the titles in the dashboard. (like steam does)

Yeah throughout the steam store both in the client and on the website they list the metacritic score of all the titles in the store.

So you can sort by score, they have a top rated section etc.

Of course it certainly helps them (Valve) that their titles are so highly rated

I really am disappointed. Every Spring I look forward to this, and there is barely anything coming out.

The dashboard update is a bummer, but the XBLA delisting is the important thing here. It's utterly ridiculous, and I truly am having trouble figuring out why they decided to do this.

yep, again I feel that MS doesn't truly know what the gamer wants. Even though we have told them countless times, over and over again

I am surprised about the delisting as well. I agree another section devoted to the Xbox LIVE Arcade would be much better. I dont know that we need another blade dedicated to it. I say they just get rid of the "Spotlight" option and have a link directly to XBLA and have it structued similar to the video marketplace. obviously networks wont work but maybe by game genre with special ads for new and upcoming stuff.

So, I'm assuming the servers for these games are going down as well. Which means that any Live achievements go out the window....
