Man that is a tough one, all of my favorite puzzle games are on the XBLA :(
I guess Dr. Mario….I don't really remember to much about it except I had fun playing it.
Oh, shoot. I left my answer, but for some reason, it didn't copy my Gamertag. It's my username and the URL takes you to my gamercard. My Gamertag is "Master Devwi" (without the parantheses). I'm really sorry about the mistake… I always type these things up in Notepad/Word and then paste them in… except this tiem, it didn't copy the last part. Sorry!

Im gonna have to stick to a classic and say minesweeper :D If I could I would say Puzzle Quest but that's a live arcade game (its on PC too though).

As soon as I saw the question I thought Peggle but if I had to choose something else, it would probably be "Bloons" (with the monkey).
I'm going to have to go with Bloons too. That game is awesome. And maybe that tanks game too where you have to little tank that lobs explosives at the other tank.

THIS game is BY FAR the best puzzle game IMO on XBLA. The gf and I have put in several fun hours already. It's great to train your brain too!
On thing I've noticed though… I've gotten 2 achievements in the game but I didn't know I had either. They never popped up for me… Weird.
Edit: Oh wait, I JUST figured it out… We were watching a movie before that and my status was set to away while my gf's status was set to Online. Wow, I'm an idiot.

Hold on…Peggle is on XBLA?! As far as I know it's a planned release so "technically" it's not on the XBLA…yet. lol
I have to agree with wackysplash, minesweeper would be the only other one I can think of that isn't already on the XBLA. I play it a lot at work, but I'm not sure how it would really translate using a controller rather than a mouse.
Don't count this comment but another puzzle game that I just remembered that I always had a blast playing is Bust-a-move. Those games OWNED! I heard Bust-a-move was spotted on the ESRB board but I haven't heard anything else of it coming to XBLA…i hope it does.
