By As you may have known, bungie.net had recently been replaced with a count-down (and a very ominous series of messages) due to reach 0 at approx 10am EST/7am PST.
According to a message posted on the site by Harold Ryan (President of Bungie Software), Bungie had been working over the past several months towards announcing “something exciting Bungie has been working on”, however due to their publisher’s (Microsoft) plans the announcement has been pulled.
The new announcement date for the information is unknown but we are assured it will happen “when the right time comes”, until then we just have to wait patiently and try not to get too worked up over the delay.
This is sure to anger a great deal of 360 gamers, so I hope the backlash was taken into consideration when they made the decision to delay the announcement.
