By Last night I, and if I’m not mistaken, and anyone that has a membership with the Rockstar Games Social Club, recieved an email from Rockstar announcing some things. First up was GTA Chinatown Wars for the DS, but after that there were some details about updates to the Social Club. The first is the launch of a new section called The Millionaires Club, which you can get access to by earning more than $1,000,000 in the Single Player career.
Come and see if you are a bona fide Millionaire, as well as where your single–player time to reach a million compares against all the other nouveaux riche ‘business men’ of Liberty City.
It also ranks the time it took you to get to a million against everyone else that’s in the club. The Millionaires Club also includes some downloadable goodies like AIM Buddy Icons, a wallpaper of 11 different sizes, a printable certificate, a MySpace theme, and a t-shirt transfer. We don’t know how much some of these will get used, but they’re there if you do want them.
There were two other pieces of information regarding sections of the Social Club: first was a reminder about the multiplayer leaderboards and how they tracks all your online progress on the 360 and the PS3, and the second was an announcement of some Viral Infection zombie feature coming to the Social Club. We’re quite interested in seeing what this Viral Infection feature is, and we’ll surely let you know when it launches.
