By Not quite an editorial, or a news post, but more so a challenge to the world, the Xbox Live world that is. You see, when you load up Geometry Wars 2, you are instantly in a battle against not only yourself, but your friends list. After about, [looks at clock], already about eight hours of playing, we can say, this game is sick. Its addictive, and its takes the original Geometry Wars to a whole new level.
Yet, my favorite part of the game is the way they have incorporated the Xbox Live leaderboards directly into the game, when choosing what game to play and seeing all leaderboards right there. Usually when I load an Xbox Live Arcade game up, my goal is either achievements or to simply choose my favorite gametype. However, Geometry Wars 2 does something that no other game is usually able to pull off, by competing against yourself, and your friends. I find myself now choosing a gametype simply for the satisfaction of beating someone I know, rather it be CLAWESOME, GibGirl, LunarDuality, SuperDunners… and especially Rusty Ranchero.
360Sync is in a war my friends, with geometric shapes, and with other communities. We will prevail, and currently hold two of the six leaderboards when more challengers entering the scene hourly…
Oh, and before we end the post, what scores have you been getting. Can anyone beat my 98,000,000 on Pacifism?
