By Here we are people, at a place a lot of people have been waiting for. Geometry Wars 2 has come out. For those who loved the first one, they probably already have it and are loving it as they should, and the rest of you should get it soon.
The game is the same as the first, with better graphics, 5 more modes, local co-op, and a new way for multiplier called geoms. You collect them to bump up your multiplier. Everything works well, it’s fun, it’s fast paced, and it’s pretty. The only, and I mean only downside, and it’s a big one, is no online co-op. Besides that, this is basically a must have for arcade. The new modes really do play different and well, and the achievements are fun to get. Besides, even if you just liked the first one, you will like this one more. This game is the reason this XBLA Today is out late, I couldn’t stop playing.
Go at least try the demo now, especially those that never tried the first. It is a fun enjoyable experience, a definite upgrade to the original, and a worthy addtion to XBLA.
