If you haven’t signed to Xbox Live on your 360 in since yesterday, you will be prompted to download an update the next time you do. Unfortunately, you shouldn’t get your hopes up as this is not the Fall Update that will bring us The New Xbox Experience.  And yes, Major Nelson said so.

“To be clear: This is not the new Xbox experience update. That will come in the Fall.”

Of course we get the same old, “[this] contains code to ‘prepare for future growth of the service’” as reason for the update.

Here’s to hoping the update with The New Xbox Experience comes sooner rather than later.
