Earlier this morning, Rockstar launched the Official Midnight Club Los Angeles Website. The first thing you are treated to is a DUB Edition Ford Mustang on the Sunset Strip at 5:35 PM PST. If you move your cursor to each side you can see a progression of the day, with lighting and environment changes. We go from Santa Monica at 6:13AM to Beverly Hills at 1:09PM to Hollywood at 5:35PM to Hollywood Hills at 7:03PM and finally to where all the fun happens, Downtown LA at Midnight. From the looks of it, these environments are supported by screenshots, but that could easily be a wrong assumption; obviously the one in the center with the Mustang is not a screenshot. Below this, there is a ton of information with a lot of sections (including the 4 other environments) slated as “Coming Soon.” All the sections are listed with a description of what they contain:
- News – A link to the Midnight Club LA Blog with the titles of the latest 3 blog posts
- Videos – Shows off the two trailers that have been released
- Cars – An interesting section showing off featured cars in each category, descriptions of what is coming in terms of the car customization and a full car list that is again “Coming Soon”
- Screenshots – A gallery that lets you expand the screenshots into “Hi-Def”
- Multiplayer Modes – Information Coming Soon
- Social Club – A simple promotion to join the social club and why
- Remix – An advertisement for Midnight Club LA Remix only on PSP
- Music – Information Coming Soon
- Downloads – A screensaver, widget, wallpapers for various uses, avatars, and AIM buddy icons
- Events and Contests – Check this out to see if the DUB Show Tour 2008 is coming to your city so you get to play MC:LA early! More special events and contests to be announced.
- Buy now – Care to preorder the game? Go here.
The website also confirms the October 2008 release dates (October 7th for North America and October 10th for Europe). Just for you, we’ve also collected all the new screenshots and put them in our Midnight Club LA Gallery. You’ll probably even notice some cars that we previously didn’t know about
The Flash Player and a browser with Javascript support are needed..
Finally, if you pay attention to the screenshots, you’ll see one of a motorcycle rider getting busted by two police officers. Who else is excited about this game?
