By Recently, the first Gears of War novel was announced, named Gears of War: Aspho Fields, and is due out sometime this fall. It looks to show readers what happened before the first game.
In the first novel, Gears of War: Aspho Fields, Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago prepare for humanity’s last stand, but find themselves forced to relive the battle that changed the course of the Pendulum Wars many years earlier. Aspho Fields exposes the past, chronicling Marcus’ induction into the COG army, the story of Dom’s brother Carlos, and the first meeting between Marcus, Dom, and Anya Stroud.
For those of you that are interested, the team over at GearsOfWar.com posted a preview of the prologue of Aspho Fields! How does the book look and read so far?
