We’ve just gotten the achievements for MLB Stickball, the upcoming 2K Sports XBLA title planned for release on October the 8th.

MLB stickball is a Major League Baseball licensed Stickball game, stickball (for people who don’t know) is extremely basic baseball, you mark a box behind the batter on a wall or similar surface with chalk, someone pitches a ball to them and if they miss and it hits that box it’s counted as a “strike”, if you hit the ball (as the batter) then you run around the bases (like normal baseball) and if you manage to hit something in the distance it’s generally counted as a home run.

In the game you collect packs of Topps brand (a tie in to the baseball card producing company) “Big Head” Major League Baseball cards which unlocks the players you can use. The game uses the environment for rewards and punishment for example hitting a fire hydrant gives you a bonus whereas breaking a window means you’re out.

The achievement list is pretty standard though I like how they’ve gone with less achievements worth a lot more, it appears you get achievements for hitting specific items in particular environments as well as the standards you’ve come to expect (like winning a ranked match).
