We’ve got some important news about EA’s upcoming shooter, Tiberium. Based on the Command and Conquer universe, this squad based shooter was just recently kicked back to 2009. However, after failing to meet certain standards, EA has announced that all work on the game has ceased. VP and Executive Producer at EA Los Angeles, Mark Verdu explains:
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the end to all work on ‘Tiberium,’ effective immediately. The game was not on track to meet the high quality standards set by the team and by the EA Games Label. A lower quality game is not in the best interest of the consumers and would not succeed in this market.
Hold on. Is EA canceling a game because it’s just not good? I guess EA really is trying to turn itself around. Bravo EA! It’s really a shame that Tiberium got canned, it was actually shaping up to be a good game.

I was looking forward to Tiberium, but I'm glad they are not putting out a crappy game.
I was wondering what happened to this like last week I believe….well now I know.
