By We had a chance today to get a quick interview with David Rhodes over at Peak. Peak is currently producing high quality guitars for the Rock Band and Guitar Hero series. You see, they are already selling these guitars for Playstation 2 and Playstation 3, but currently not the Xbox 360. So we wondered to ourselves if they had just skipped over the 360, or if they had some legitimate reason as to why.
And they did.
It seems that Microsoft is very cautious in licensing their wireless technology thus making it hard for some 3rd party vendors (particularly new companies such as Peak) to be allowed to develop for the 360.
During the interview, he explained, “We’d love to make a Starpex for Xbox 360! With a little good luck, hopefully it will happen sooner than later!”
We certainly hope that they are able to, so that we can replace our original Rock Band guitar with it. We’ll keep you all in the loop, and will post if we find out that they are able to make them for the Xbox 360.
