I wish the Steam version of this game had Steam achievements. We can only hope, right?

Good list but Call of Duty 4 sucked imo and the only way I would've bought this is if Treyarch brought the multiplayer back from Call of Duty 3 and after seeing videos of the mp on IGN….theres not a chance of me buying it.

Are you kidding me?? CoD3 had the worst MP. Hey, lets just take random people and throw them into a lobby. You can invite your friends if there is room (just like in CoD4), but no garuntee you'll be on the same teams. Lets also not forget to mention that since you pick your teams half way through a battle your teammates jump to the winning side and make it a landslide, WOOHOO!!! In CoD4 they revolutionized the MP experience. Ability to party up with your friends and personalize your class to fit your style perfectly, who doesn't like that?? Treyarch obviously abandoned their old ways because they didn't work. CoD4 was all about teamwork, I guess we now know one guy who has an empty friends list.

I thought the MP on CoD3 was great, aside from the difficulty of getting together with your friends. Our solution. One of us would open a lobby, invite all friends, join one team and wait for the other side to fill-up. Once you did that, you were good to go for the evening, plus had all the hosting controls and power to boot annoying players.

The CoD4 MP is also great, but also has some inefficiencies. it is almost impossible to get rid of teamkillers and other nasty players. Typically the only way is to uproot your party and move to a different lobby. The server-assigned hosting is cumbersome, especially if the host quits-out or begins to lag. Finally, although you could create a party, you could only invite as many that would fit onto one team in a particular match. TDM only allowed for parties of six. I usually have a lot of friends playing and would prefer if we could fill an entire lobby with friends and still earn points for playing. Besides, it's the best when everyone in the match is someone from your friends list. At least you know you're going to get good consistent play.

i tought cod 3 wus a great game at the time. Then cod 4 came out and that completely dimolished cod 3. CoD:WaW looks amazing. Great graphics, looks like great gamplay, sick how when u get point it adds onto the score with those points u got instead of having to kill some1 to put 10 points on everytime. guns look pretty good, perks are alright… just a little adjustment to the perks and this games gonna be amazing. great job treyarch, cant w8 till CoD 6. Gonna be the best no matter wut! IW all the way!!!

At least Treyarch was smart enough to keep the majority of achievements for single player and the only multiplayer ones are for co-op. I am not a big fan of multiplayer achievements – tends to cause a bunch of boosting matches.
