McFarlane Toys has had some serious game-related announcements for figures in the last week.
First, on Friday, they showed off some pictures of their first sets of Halo helmets (for the Spartan figures) in 3-packs. These helmets are in scale size to heads on the current 12-inch Halo action figures. They may be even be replaceable on the 12-inch action figures!
Each helmet includes a custom stand for flat surface or wall-mount display, and individual stands interlock for dynamic display possibilities!
The Wave 1 Sets as of now are as follows:
- Set 1 – Mark VI (Red), EOD (Red) and CQB (Red)
- Set 2 – Hayabusa (White), EVA (Olive) and Rogue (Tan)
- Set 3 – Master Chief, Rogue (Silver) and CQB (Orange)
- Set 4 – EOD (Blue), Hayabusa (Red) and EVA (Teal)
How sweet do those look? Anyone interested in picking a pack or two up? I surely am. If you’re interested in the rest of the Halo Action Figures, you can go to McFarlane’s Feature Page for Halo 3 Series 1 and Series 2.
Next, yesterday, McFarlane also announced that they would be releasing a Slash ‘Guitar Hero’ action figure in February 2009! If you’re a die hard Guitar Hero fan or gamer, this is almost a must buy! The action figure will also feature 15 moveable parts for the maximal customization. They also announced several other Guitar Hero action figures earlier this year, so feel free to check those out too.
And, as always, we’ve got you covered with pictures. We’ve got the helmets individually, in threes of course, to accurately represent their packaging, as well as final sculp photos of the Slash action figure. (Remember, if you want to view the pictures larger, just click anywhere within the viewer and choose “Go Fullscreen.” Press Esc to go back to the small version.)
