When we first played , it reminded us of the first Crash game that we had seen on the Xbox 360 – Crash of the Titans. However, as we progressed through the game, it became apparent that the game had been tweaked, keeping some of the same principals (like collecting orbs, jacking enemies, and the same graphic engine.) Yet, its the changes that they made which makes this game more enjoyable, including the ability to store the different mutants, and the new cooperative mode which allows someone to easily join the game. We gave it a try, and were surprised to see that we didn’t need to sign in, which most games have forced us to do in the past.

If anything stands out thus far, it would be the cutscenes, which we think the targeted age group of E10+ (everyone age 10 and up) will enjoy. Overall, this game seems to be exactly what its described as – “New Family-Friendly Adventure.” We couldn’t agree more.

Graphics: The game looks pretty much identical to Crash of the Titans, with a little more emphasis on the scenery, and level design.

Sounds: The music flows, and the dialogue keeps the game entertaining. Walk up to an enemy, and just listen to them talk for a little bit before fighting them.

Xbox Live: Sorry, the game doesn’t have any Xbox Live features (besides signing in and earning achievements)

Some minor facts and details:

Time Played: 2 hours, 42 minutes

Achievements Unlocked: 2 out of 45

Currently Left Off At: About to finish up the Ice Level, and trying to get back to the main area.

Best Experience: Using logic to pass an area that required you to freeze, jump, move, and jump again. Also, we really enjoyed being able to do some multiplayer without the hassle of pulling up the dashboard.

Biggest Complaint: The game still seems very linear – which is good for a kid, but a complaint for an older gamer that wants choice.

Will You Continue Playing: We may still continue playing to unlock a few more achievements, and to see the story develop a bit more, but this game probably won’t see as much time as it normally would, due to the jam packed holiday season of games to play.
