Microsoft and Ensemble Studios announced today that ‘Halo Wars‘ will be hitting retail shelves in February in both a standard and Collector’s Edition. Â The Collector’s Edition of the highly anticipated Halo RTS will include the Mythic Map Pack (“Assembly,” “Orbital and “Sandbox”) for ‘Halo 3′ as well as “Halo Wars: Genesis” which is a graphic novel documenting the first assault on the Covenant. Â Along with these extras there is also some in-game content to look forward to including a special Honor Guard Wraith and six “Leader cards” which are said to be able to help turn the tides of battle. Â Those that pre-order from select retailers will also receive a code to download a special in-game Warthog featuring special flame decals.
The standard edition of ‘Halo Wars’ comes in at the normal $59.99USD and the Collector’s Edition will run you $79.99. Â Let’s hope we don’t see issues like the ones that faced ‘Fable II’ and it’s Collectors Edition.
