In response to concerning the size and legibility of the text in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on some SDTVs, sent us the following email explaining that they are working on a solution. The rest of the email is as follows.

We’re about to put forward some good news. Read on…

community wrangler passed along the official MGS/ statement on the subject, as follows:

“It has come to our attention that people are experiencing subtitle readability issues with Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on Standard Definition TVs. We would like to assure you that contrary to earlier reports, we are aware of the issue and currently working on a title update to be released within the next 30 days that will fix it for those with Standard Definition TVs. We’re committed to ensuring all fans of the franchise are able to have the best experience possible with Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.”

As Banjo is due to be released across most territories within the next few days, this is good news for everyone. Including us, as we would actually like people to enjoy our game and not revile us with a fiery passion.

Apologies for any crossed wires and confusion since the issue was raised. Hopefully now everyone will feel confident in their ability to play the game as it was intended. If you’re unsure whether the text size will be a problem for you prior to the release of the update, it may be worth downloading the Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts demo over Xbox Live or seeing it on a friend’s console to judge for yourself.

Right now we don’t have any more specific details on timeframe or methods of delivery for this title update, so we can’t answer individual queries. But we’ll make sure you’re all kept informed. In the meantime, thanks for your patience, we hope you find this news heartening, and for anyone planning to pick up the game this week – here’s hoping it fulfils all your hairy bear vehicular needs.
