Working off a tip that we saw on Twitter (which we believe came from Joystiq), we have heard reports of Sony’s Columbia movies are now not available for Xbox 360′s Instant Queue. Before you all get all upset, we spoke with Netflix to try and see what the issue was.
Netflix responded with,
As watching instantly becomes a more prominent part of the Netflix service, our goal is to have all of our streaming content licensed for all of our partner devices. We’re doing well in this area, but it will take some time before we fully achieve that goal. Today, titles regularly come in and out of license and there is a natural ebb and flow to what we have on license at any given point in time. In the case of Xbox 360, a few hundred titles are temporarily unavailable to be streamed via the Xbox game console. Those titles are still available to be watched on subscribers’ computers and on TVs via other partner devices, and we hope they’ll be licensed for Xbox 360 shortly.
While we tried to see what caused the movies to be pulled on the eve of the NXE being launched, we couldn’t get any further information on the issue.

I think it's rather suspicious that it is Columbia/Sony movies and it happens the day before the NXE launches. While I know some titles are not always available to watch instantly, it is pretty shady that all of a sudden ALL Sony owned titles have now hit that status.
Agreed, still investigating to see what happened…
Sony are master douchebags.
First I can't play the songs I purchased off of iTunes on my 360 & now I can't watch any of Sony's Columbia pictures! Sony = turd
This is no coincidence. Maybe Sony is planning on releasing an update for their users to stream movies, unfortunately it will probably brick another 20% of their users' consoles.
Sony's making their big comeback!
