Well, Team Criterion are at it again, dropping more game smashing content for Burnout Paradise!  This time it’s the Boost Specials, which feature two cars that have “Special” Boost abilities.  The two cars cars included are the Carson Extreme Hotrod and the Montgomery Hawker Mech.

So what is so special about these two cars you ask?  Well, let us explain.  The Extreme Hotrod has a new boost type called “Locked.”  Once you activate boost in this car it will not turn off until you crash, but also notably about this car, is that it is set to be the fastest and most realistic car in Burnout Paradise.  The second car, the Hawker Mech, has the ability to switch between all 3 boost types by clicking in the left stick from the Stunt type to the Speed type to the Aggression type and back again.  More experienced Burnout Paradise players could surely use this to their advantage in maximizing boost acquirement and minimizing boost loss when getting taken down.
