A couple hours ago, Twitter was set ablaze. Infinity Ward and Activision have finally dropped the first teaser trailer for Modern Warfare 2, the sequel to the amazingly successful Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Well, of course we have the debut trailer for you, embedded below for your amazement. You can also see a slightly larger version at the Modern Warfare 2 site. Of note too is that the teaser drops the release date as well: November 10th, 2009. Now go watch the trailer!

This is in league with one of the worst trailers I have ever seen, it was very boring and and raises my hype for this level to 0…same place it has been since I heard about it.

It's a teaser. It's only supposed to get you more interested in seeing more about the game. And I'm pretty sure it does…

Oh come on guys–yeah it doesn't give you any gameplay, but it's a quick teaser. Maybe it's just me, but the clickity-clack and the anticipation of the elevator–i thought it was cool. I'm ready to see more, and I think thats the point.
Agreed. I think that's the point of a teaser. Really, if they just added story and the rest was the same as MW, I would still buy it. But knowing Infinity Ward, they're going all out…
Watching….waiting for something to happen… still waiting…maybe something will happen at the very end?… and now it's over. Fantastic.
The only good this would serve would be to announce that the game was in development, but we already knew that. Count me in with the crowd that's less than enthused by this teaser/trailer.
Loved it!, keep in mind guys it actually does tell you a lot if you pay attention to it.
