We all know humans are prone to error right? We’ve seen it before on Xbox Live Marketplace with the accidental release of the Golden-plated Lancers for 0 Microsoft Points for Gears of War 2 and the early release of some of the Burnout Paradise car packs amongst other things. Well, we’ve caught another slip-up. The Xbox.com Marketplace RSS feed automatically posts anything that is put up on Marketplace.Xbox.com. Last week, with the release of the South Central Map Expansion and Premium Upgrade for Midnight Club: Los Angeles, someone also put up 2 new vehicle packs. And we’ve got the details for you!
Midnight Club: LA Vehicle Pack 1
- Luxury:
- 2008 Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG
- 2008 Audi S5
- Tuner:
- 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT
Midnight Club: LA Vehicle Pack 2
- Bike:
- 2008 Ducati 1098 R (FREE)
- Luxury:
- 2008 Cadillac XLR V
- Tuner:
- 2008 Lancer Evolution X
- Exotic:
- 2007 Aston Martin DB9
If you’ve purchased the Premium Upgrade for Midnight Club: LA, included in the new missions are delivery missions where you can in fact drive these cars. However, you cannot purchase them from the garages. And one thing that the premium pack neglects to mention, there are an added 10 achievements worth 250 Gamerscore with the new DLC. Presumably, these downloads will all clock in at 108KB, like any other unlocks of DLC where you already have the content on your drive but you just need someone to unlock it for you.
To add to this, I’m pretty sure some people are going to be annoyed at these packs because after all, the Premium Upgrade does cost a hefty 800 Microsoft Points ($10 USD), and if you buy it you already have the content within the South Central DLC.
Anyone interested in this DLC? Personally, I am, because I like all of the cars in the packs, but I’m not willing to spend even more money on simply unlocking the cars for use.
