5 weeks after the release of Halo Wars, where the Mythic Maps were included with the Limited Collector’s Edition of the game, they have finally dropped onto the Xbox Live Marketplace as standalone DLC.   The Mythic Maps pack is ’s latest DLC and features 3 new maps: Orbital, Assembly and Sandbox.  There are also a whole slew of new achievements tied to this DLC, most of which are relatively easy.  Also, these 3 new maps all feature skulls that can only be found in Forge, most likely done to inspire players to actually try out Forge mode.  Here is what Xbox.com has to say about the maps:

The long-awaited Mythic Map Pack drops into Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Investigate Orbital’s abandoned hallways – before it was evacuated, the Quito Space Tether was heralded as the “Civil Engineering Monument of the Millennium.” Witness Assembly, where Scarab hulls loom overhead, being decontaminated in preparation for the city-sized Lekgolo colonies that will breathe life into the massive metal husks. An excavation site surrounded by deadly Forerunner defenses, the mysteries of Sandbox are hidden high above, deep below, and right before your eyes.

In my honest opinion, of all the Map Packs so far, this would have to be my favorite.  You can nab the Mythic Map Pack right here.

Also, if you’re interested, you can download this map variant, which essentially spawns you right on top of the sandbox skull, which is a pain to get.  Additionally, Joystiq Xbox posted a video of where all 3 skulls are found. We’ve embedded it below. You don’t have to watch it, but if you’re having problems you can use it to help.
