Another week and another contest from 360Sync. This time we’re giving away 3 copies of the recently released ‘Space Invaders Extreme‘ from Backbone Entertainment and Taito. For a chance to win this highly-addicting HD version of the arcade classic all you need to do is leave a comment telling us your favorite show, movie or game that takes place in space.

Rules: 1 entry per person, must be registered on the site and with Intense Debate comment system. Help us out, and rate the entries by giving +1 of for each entry you like! Voting comments down does not improve your chances of winning. Once winners are announced, those selected will have 10 days to claim their prize(s).

    i have to say that the new Star Trek was awesome! but i cant say its my favorite because well…you just cant beat star wars lol, my favorite game that takes place in space has to be Dead Space (one of the better single player games released in the last year) and tv show…i dont really watch any TV shows that take place in space =P

    Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic (the original) because I was NOT expecting that plot twist. I literally sat on my bed going "WWWWHHHHAAATT?!?!?!" for a few moments.

    Star Wars was the best movie series taken place in space! Star Wars: Episode III, was the best movie in the series. It was epic when Anakin turned into Darth Vader, and when he yelled, NOOOOOOO!!!

    My favorite show set in space was Star Trek: The Next Generation. My favorite movies set in space were the original Star Wars trilogy. My favorite game set in space was the old X-Wing game.

    Mass Effect is the greatest Sci-Fi game. I also believe the best Sci-Fi movie I have seen is the new Star Trek movie. It was really freaking good.

    I wanted to say Mass Effect but had to give it to Dead Space. That game really freaks me out and while the anti-gravity chambers were a little off putting, the enemies were amazing.

    I think I´ll say one of each just for fun:
    -Movie: Spaceballs!´s Jews in Space! (but plan 9 From Outer Space has a pretty solid plot)
    -Show: Josie and the Pussycats In Outer Space!
    -Game: Spaceshimps, the game (PS2)… but I´m willing to change the last one for Space Invaders Extreme

    Argh, entering when there are already 36 comments all but guarantees that I wont be original in my answer, but here it goes.

    Movie: Star Wars Episode 3 (I know, I know… most people hate the second trilogy, but I think episode 3 rocks…so leave me alone people.)

    TV Show: Futurama (Alright, so it's *based* on Earth in the year 3000, but they spend so much time in outerspace! It would be silly to have an intergalactic delivery crew only do local deliveries eh? Also, did I mention that the Space Invaders made an appearance on the show? The one where Lrrr RULER OF THE PLANET OMICRON PERSEI 8 led the space invaders from the planet nintendoo64 to wage war against earth and General Colon Pacman)

    Game: Halo 3 (Again, going against the grain here by not selecting the first title. However, as someone who is a whore to the Halo story, I think that Halo 3 is just awesome. The references to the books storylines, wrapping up several loose ends, with some nice plot twists make this my favorite space game)

    So that's my response, good luck to all other entries. Except Dante, no more luck to him.

    My favorite space memory is Super Mario Galaxy.

    That whole game was amazing from the beginning to the end. If you were under the influence of anything and played that game, it was extremely bad ass.

    Starcraft: The Game is legendary, it has perfect game play and stunning graphics for its time. Starcraft is practically the only balanced RTS game ever made, it revolutionized gaming and i'm sure many people on here were once addicted to this game for some time.
