EA Sportsis giving fight fans the chance to redeem Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton, after his knockout-loss to Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao earlier this month, in a playable three-round demo of Fight Night Round 4. The demo will be available today, May 14th, on Xbox Live exclusively to consumers who pre-order Fight Night Round 4 through GameStop. The demo will be available to all Xbox Gold Members on May 28th, and Xbox Silver members on June 4th.
We were able to grab a copy of the demo, and finally can answer some of those questions that everyone is curious of, including,
Question: Can I punch using buttons (like in Fight Night Round 3)?
If the demo is any confirmation of what control settings will be in the retail game, we now know that we will be given the option to choose 1 of 4 configurations, of which none of them allow you to use buttons for punching. All 4 configurations contain (A – Sig Punch, X – Push, Y – Clinch, B – Illegal Blow).
Q: Will FNR4 have an Instant Replay feature?
With an included video upload function, players can showcase their bouts to the world by uploading videos directly to www.easportsworld.com
Q: How many boxers are in the game?
The demo currently shows details for 48 boxers. If interested in some stat info, we’ll try to answer some specific fighters in the comments.
Q: Who can I fight with in the demo?
You can choose between Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton, and Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao
As for the game itself, the demo delivers a great experience, which is hopefully a small sample of the full Fight Night Round 4 game. We can’t way to simulate what will happen when Mike Tyson has the chance to go up against Muhammad Ali.
Fight Night Round 4 comes out June 30, 2009 and is rated T for Teen by the ESRB
