Yesterday, Activision and Bizarre Creations announced a new racing title called Blur. From the looks of it, the team at Bizzarre are really excited about this game, as they’ve been working on since they finished up work on PGR4. They do use their strengths from previous games to aid them in their success with this game too:
things like licensed cars, realistic environments, detailed physics and driving model, great graphics, exciting handling , awesome sound, etc. etc. We wanted to stick to these strengths with Blur.

Also, the game features new things to Bizzare’s games, such as pickups/powerups and even a storyline, both of which, they seem adamant that they add to the experience of the game.
Blur has pickups on-track giving you the opportunity to blast opponents out of the way in the corners, or boost past them on the straights.
We wanted all the good bits of a storyline (strong characterisation, accessibility, player progression, opponent personalities, etc.) without any of the cheese.
Of course, with things like that, the game will not really be a simulation game like PGR3 and PGR4, but will rather feature a more arcadey style of racing. This is also why they can have up to 20 cars simultaneously on the race track. Overall, the game is looking fantastic, which is why we have trailer for your viewing enjoyment embedded below.
Is anyone excited about this game?
