Over the past couple days, the Criterion Games team has been hyping up some announcement that was schedule to go live today at 4PM GMT. Just in case you’re not that good with time zones and such, we’ve got you covered. Converted, that is 12PM EST or 9AM PST which is essentially, prime time to drop an announcement.

And drop a big announcement they did: Big Surf Island, the much touted expansion to Paradise City, will be coming to the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network on June 11th. Of all the DLC the Criterion Games team has talked about for Burnout Paradise, this seems to be the biggest piece of downloadable content, but also, from the looks of it, the last. While this may sadden some of us, it may be a good thing as we’d hope Criterion would start working on, or is already working on, the next installment in the Burnout series of games. Maybe this time, it’ll even include planes!
Below we’ve embedded the reveal trailer from Criterion Games regarding Big Surf Island for Burnout Paradise.
How much do you think this DLC will cost? 800 Microsoft Points seems like a fair price for such a huge expansion.
