We got our hands on Shadow Complex last week, and have been thoroughly impressed thus far with the game. With a Metroid type feel, and Unreal powered graphics, Chair Entertainment delivers a great XBLA experience at $15 bucks. It took us about 8-9 hours to complete, but with secret upgrades within the game, you’ll definitely see enough replay value, with achievements included like beating the game 100% and reaching level 50.

If you played Trials HD, you’ll see a  similar “How are my friends doing” tracker (on 2nd thought, it looks more like the Gears achievement tracker, but you get the point). Plus, the game ties into Orson Scott Card’s storytelling, so fans of Ender’s Game and Empire will get even more enjoyment.

Overall, between the hours of gameplay, and with the 3 extra sets of challenges, you should definitely try out the trial, or full game. But what if you could jump into the game for free, and early! Well, 360Sync is giving you the chance to play before the game is even released, something that is nearly unheard of, since XBLA games aren’t available early.
