Last night, after finishing up with Trials HD for the night, I hopped back into the dashboard as I always do. Of course, the dashboard drops you into the Spotlight channel, to see what is interesting. To my surprise, there was something that actually piqued my interest quite a bit. It was a actually an ad for Batman: Arkham Asylum. Supposedly, according to the ad, you could pre-order it or pick it up on launch day for a measly $38.83. At that point it hit me, this has got to be a mistake or it accidentally trickled across the border from the US marketplace, because in Canada, we never get deals as good as that. So this morning, I decided to look into it further, only to realise that this deal is actually real! (Even Walmart in the US is showing a higher price.)
Now, if you compare that to the likes of the two other big electronics stores, Best Buy and Future Shop, they both have the game listed at a whopping $69.99. So you can get a brand new game for half the price of other stores? Seems like a win for everyone to me. Also, if you’re interested in playing some Batman: Arkham Asylum, there is a demo up on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
If you’re wondering, yes, I will be taking advantage of this deal.
