Well look what the car dragged in. We’ve got the Forza Motorsport 3 achievements ripe for the picking. Unfortunately, we don’t have the achievement pictures quite yet, so you may have to wait a little while for those.
So what’s our feeling about these achievements? Honestly speaking, the seem to look very similar to what regular car “connoisseurs” would consider real life feats and achievements: you get Connoisseur for owning at least one car from every manufacturer, Director for completing your first Forza Motorsport movie and World Traveler for racing on every track location in the world. Also notably is the complete absence of any multiplayer achievements (Forza Motorsport 2 only had one) meaning that Turn 10 Studios might be pulling out something similar to Modern Warfare’s leveling system.
Interestingly enough, you can nail an easy 100 GS for just getting to Level 10 while nailing level 50 will net you an additional 260 GS. Another 300 GS is tied to six different racing seasons, which you get 50 GS for each that you complete. There are also a couple fun ones like Demon which you get cracking the infamous 200mph barrier and Bottomed Out for jumping 5 feet. The rest, you’ll have to figure out for yourself. From the looks of it, you could get all the achievements and gamerscore tied to it if you just spend some time with it
Forza Motorsport 3 is developed by Turn 10 Studios, published by Microsoft Game Studios and will be released on October 22nd in Europe and October 27th in North America. The Forza Motorsport 3 demo is dropping in 3 days on September 24th. Is anyone looking forward to it as much as I am?
