Oh well I guess we'll see then, I just thought so because even after I got in the first wave updates it still said participating on connect.

Nope. It said participating for me seconds after I registered. Participating means you signed up. You'll know you're in when you get an email sent to the email you registered with.

I believe if it says participating you did get in. I was in the last beta and it said participating and I got in the next day or two.
